For many years cannabis has been connected only to marijuana \’\’and all the illegalness of it. Everything about cannabis has been connected to being addicted, getting a high \’\’and being an illegal substance. Many still believe there is no difference between hemp \’\’and marijuana because, yes, they are both cannabis. Smokable hemp flower does have similar aromas \’\’and tastes \’\’and even the same names in both marijuana \’\’and hemp. Come join the conversation as we draw the line between them.

THC is the primary active compound in marijuana that causes the mind-altering psychotropic side effects, but it’s only found in 0.3% of THC or less in CBD Hemp.
History with a Riddle
For centuries, cannabis flowers have been used as a recreational drug. The substance responsible for the cannabis plant’s high-inducing effects is the cannabinoid, THC. In the beginning all cannabis was not high in THC. But some chemist \’\’and researchers discovered how to create strains high in THC \’\’and marijuana was born.
Today, since President Trump signed the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp, at always low THC levels of 0.3% or less is available. Smokable hemp flower vs marijuana is a much overdue conversation because hemp is legal to smoke but marijuana is not legal except in a few states.
Smokable Hemp Flower vs Marijuana – It is All in The Language
The marijuana community often refers to it as being cannabis rather than marijuana. That just adds to the confusion because hemp is also cannabis. I am very aware of this problem because I was introduced to CBD but not told what it was exactly so when I received some pamphlets \’\’and quickly spotted the word, “cannabis”, I panicked. Here I had been dosing with cannabis \’\’and for all I knew, marijuana.
But here’s the catch. I had realized so much relief in my osteoarthritis pain that I was driven to find out the real truth. It took me awhile but the relief I’d found from the pain that had been taunting me for years to the point of partially crippling me, drove me to figure out how important it is to use the accurate words.
Smokable Hemp Flower vs Marijuana – Recreational What??
We commonly hear the phrase “recreational cannabis” but what is it really? It is recreational marijuana. Then there are some who have a medical marijuana card if they have a condition it can treat. But it is not recreational cannabis because hemp is also cannabis. Smokable hemp flower could also be called recreational hemp but it is not.
Whether it be recreational marijuana or hemp, the plant’s other compounds such as other cannabinoids, terpenes, \’\’and flavonoids will be present. The ratio \’\’and presence of these other molecules do not distinguish it as marijuana or hemp. The only criteria to warrant the plant as “hemp” is its low levels of THC, under 0.3%.
Smokable Hemp Flower vs Marijuana – Benefits Are Recreational \’\’and Medical
Many people who have smoked CBD hemp flowers back up such claims as they report an overall relaxing \’\’and calming sensation or a sense of energizing \’\’and better focus. In addition to cannabidiol, CBD smokable flower also has its own unique terpene profile. Terpenes are responsible for the bud’s aroma \’\’and taste, so it also leads to an identical smell that marijuana has. But terpenes also impact health benefits.
When you smoke CBD flower, you feel its effects more quickly \’\’and they are more potent because it is pulmonary administration. Whereas CBD oils generally take between 45-60 minutes to feel its effects, but they last for much longer as the digestive system releases the cannabidiol gradually but with much less potency.
