Ingredients:

• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• ¼ – ½ cup of the decarbed hemp flower (your choice of an indica dominant hemp flower.)
• ¾ tsp salt
• 1 T baking powder
• ½ cup maple syrup
• ½ cup coconut oil, melted
• 1 egg
• ¾ cup coconut milk, unsweetened

 Directions:

In a large bowl, whisk the coconut oil, maple syrup, sugar \’\’and eggs together well.  Add the dry ingredients to the wet mix.  Slowly stir until the batter is smooth

Strawberry Hemp Flower Smoothie

This is a particularly tasty drink with nutrients besides the CBD hemp bud of your choice for the patient in palliative care, indica dominant is preferable for its effects.

• 1 large ripe banana
• ½ C frozen strawberries
• 1 T protein powder
• 2 T ground hemp flower (decarboxylated)
• Coconut milk, rice milk or almond milk (enough to loosen the content to drink consistency)

Mix all in a blender of your choice. Hemp flower chosen should be high CBD content \’\’and one that is Indica dominant.

The “How” to Decarboxylate Hemp Flower

• Oven 250 degrees F
• Break up the hemp flower buds into small pieces
• Grind hemp flower buds with a coffee grinder, herb grinder or food processor to the consistency of dried herbs but not fine as dust.
• Spread a thin layer on baking tray
• Place tray in oven
• Bake for 90  – 120 minutes
• Remove from oven \’\’and cool

Hemp flower should be brownish \’\’and feel dry \’\’and crumble between fingers

Store in a sealed container after making sure the crumbles are dry.

CBD Hemp Bud — CBD Oil Tincture, CBD Oil Capsules, CBD Infused Gummies

The sublingual CBD oil tincture may be the simplest for the patient in palliative care if food is not acceptable. There are some flavored options on the market if you do not care for the rather bitter taste. The gummies are particularly tasty \’\’and can be placed under the tongue \’\’and dissolved there.

You are not getting the Indica dominant CBD hemp bud with these options but that is not all that is important here. You are getting potent CBD \’\’and it is effective for relaxation, mood stabilization \’\’and pain.

The other option you have is CBD infused topicals. There are a wide variety of lotions, salves \’\’and lip balm all generously infused with CBD. The lip balm could be particularly effective for the palliative care patient because without much moisture their lips can become parched.
