FYI — Hemp Flower Plant Will Get You “Hemped” Up

The hemp flower plant is a tall slender plant with erect cane stalks that are hollow except at the base. It is also aromatic and an annual herb with palmate shape leaves.  The hemp flower is small and greenish-yellow also produce seeds in spike-like clusters. These clusters grow on the pistillate which is only on the female plant.

Hemp Flower Plant — It Heals the Land

Hemp flower plant can grow in all types of soil in short growing seasons and in dry regions. It helps to purify the soil where it grows, and it kills weeds when they grow to close to the plant.  It grows without pesticides and is the perfect crop for rotation due to its short 120 days harvest cycle.  Hemp flower is a high-yield crop as it can produce twice as does peanuts on one acre of land.

The hemp flower eliminates toxins and radioactive material as scientists found out in Chernobyl. They planted hemp as a crop for the people but discovered that as it was growing it did a phytoremediation. This is a process of cleaning up the air and soil around it as it is growing. It decomposes chemicals from the soil and in so doing heals the land.

After scientist had this experience, they planted hemp in a wasteland area of Eastern Europe following a nuclear fallout. The hemp plant rejuvenated thousands of acres making it cultivable for agriculture.

Hemp flower plant has very deep roots allowing growth in many soil and terrains. It replenishes its own nitrogen stores, vital for plants to photosynthesis.  Hemp has a high carbon-dioxide uptake which is the trigger to start carbon sequestration. Carbon sequestration traps emissions neutralize carbon levels during its growth.  When hemp flower is harvested, many farmers leave the parts of the unused plant for it to release its many nutrients back into the soil. This action rejuvenates it to be rich with nitrogen for the next season’s growth.

Hemp Flower Plant — Seeds and Breast Milk Share Nutrients

It is well known that hemp seeds are one of the most nutritionally loaded foods. Among the many nutrients \’\’and essential fatty acids include gamma linolenic acid (GLA). This is also a substance found in breast milk.  If new mothers need to supplement their breast milk, an option with high sources of nutrition suitable for newborns and babies is hemp milk.

The United States of America was Founded on Hemp

The first and second draft of the US constitution was drafted on Dutch hemp paper in 1776. Then until the prohibition in the 1920’s decade it continued to be a key material used to make paper and other products as well.  George Washington, our first president, was a hemp farmer right along with Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers.  And in the words of Jefferson, “Hemp is of the first necessity to the wealth and protection of our country.”

It was a key crop which the farmers grew in pre-Civil War times and it was required of the farmers to grow and harvest hemp during the late 1700s. Interestingly enough, it was a required planting till the year they decided it was illegal and then farmers were prohibited from planting and harvesting it.
