Gifts for the Hemp Lover – CBD Hemp Flower Candles

There are a variety of ways to make candlelight for your home, your spa bath, or for a relaxing time by the fireplace.  This is an amazing gift that keeps on giving day after day.

1. You will need a jar or a decorative glass container. Mason jars come in a variety of sizes and work well. If you want to stay on the financial conservative side, save your jelly jars.
2. You need hemp wick for the wick to burn and those are in the inventory of Dr. Strains CBD.
3. You will need a pound of wax. Plain candle wax from the craft store will work or you can use soy wax which burns cleaner.
4. The next ingredient is organic coconut oil in the amount of 1 cup
5. Lastly, you want 1 ounce of full-spectrum CBD oil.
6. If you want your candle colored then shave some bits of crayon of the desired color.

Directions for putting the candle together.

1. You can melt the wax in the microwave with short 30-second heat bursts and stir after each burst. Or you can melt it in a double boiler on the stove.
2. When the wax is melted, add the 1 ounce of full-spectrum CBD oil and stir to be sure the oil is evenly distributed throughout the wax.
3. Add the crayon shavings to the hot wax and let them melt. Stir so the color is evenly spread.
4. With a hot glue gun, glue an end of the hemp wick to the bottom of your glass container. Leave a long tail and wrap it around a pencil then lay the pencil across the top of the glass container to hold the length of hemp wick vertically.
5. When the wax has cooled to 120 degrees, carefully pour the hot melted wax into the jar leaving ½ inch at the top.
6. When the wax has cooled and hardened, trim the wick leaving 1 inch.

CBD Spiked Chocolate

There are a variety of CBD coffee recipes to choose from but this one is a “latte spin and is delicious. So, you’ll have caffeine to perk up your morning and CBD as well.

• 1 cup coconut milk
• one tablespoon cacao powder
• 1 tablespoon maple syrup
• one teaspoon vanilla extract
• Pinch of sea salt
• CBD oil
• Shaved chocolate on top as a garnish

Combine all the ingredients except the CBD oil in a small pot.  Bring to a simmer over medium heat, whisking to break up any clumps. When it begins to simmer, remove from the heat and stir in the CBD.  Pour into a mug or over ice and serve immediately.
