Umpqua Hemp Flower

The CBD hemp flower has a beautiful, frosty bud, which can also mean “dancing waters.  Umpqua Hemp Flower pays homage to Oregon’s Umpqua Valley Native American tribes. They offer a similar experience to ACDC/Cannatonic/Suzy Q/Harlequin in terms of expected effects.  Umpqua Hemp Flower has a lovely frosty look as if they were dipped in sugar, contrasting on a bright lime green color with orange hairs. This bud gives a strong, sweet smell, with pine, citrus notes, and sometimes hints of hops or peaches.  Let this Indica dominant hybrid take you on a walk through a pine forest and leave you rested and ready for your day’s challenges.

Myths are not good for the marketplace; they are not good for the consumer, and they are not good for the newbies who are researching all things CBD flower. There is enough information in the universe about CBD hemp flower to debunk the falsehoods, but it seems too many times the misinformation rises to the top ahead of the truth.  We, here at Dr. Strains CBD pursuit telling the honest to goodness facts.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD Comes from Weed

CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, but they are different, just like CBG is different than CBD and so it CBC.  Cannabis marijuana contains very small amounts of CBD while having a high content of THC. However, Cannabis hemp is rich in CBD but has very little THC. Most of the CBD on the market comes from hemp because there is a higher content so why not.

Weed is generally considered to be marijuana so even though marijuana has a small percentage of CBD, most of the CBD comes from hemp which is not considered to be a weed.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD is Medical; THC is Recreational

This is a myth that definitely must be debunked. CBD could be referred to as medical, but it is so much more. On the other hand, THC could be referred to as medical for many use it for medical conditions, however, it is also recreational.  The federal government recognizes several compounds which are categorized as Schedule III drug which are drugs with little abuse potential.

CBD is also recreational, not a “high recreational” but the CBD hemp flower can be used to smoke or vape to relax into a non-sedated calm and it is legal.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD Converts into THC

CBD does not convert to THC in any sense of the word. The only converting is when CBDa converts to CBD when heated to a certain temperature. THCa also converts to THC when heated in the same fashion, but one does not turn into the other.  CBD and THC have dyrometrical opposite chemical structures and there is no way that molecules can alter from one to the other under any circumstances.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD will Cause You to Fail a Drug Test

There is no drug test for CBD. However, there is a 0.3% or less THC in full-spectrum CBD. It is unlikely that THC would show up on a drug test at that low of content. The exception would be if you smoked an extraordinary amount of hemp flower in a short period of time. And still, that is unlikely.

For those who are overly concerned, they can consume a broad spectrum which is all the cannabinoids except THC.  Or there is also an isolate that has only CBD cannabinoids and no other natural compounds.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — Hemp’s Only Use is for Extracting CBD Oil

The hemp plant is used for over 25,000 products so is one of the most versatile crops around. The hemp plant is broken into two major parts

  • Hemp Flower
  • Industrial Hemp

Hemp flower is also referred to as the bud of the mature hemp plant and it is where the largest portion of the CBD is extracted with all the cannabinoids. The flower is covered with trichomes which are the resinous glands of the plant. Hemp buds are used to smoke, consume and ground-up make a coarsely ground substance you can make edibles with, put in a homemade soap bar, and any number of things.

Industrial hemp is the stalks, seeds, and fibers of the hemp plant. These are used to create a wide range of products such as textiles, construction materials, and biofuels.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD Does not Work so is a Scam

CBD is not magic nor is it a miracle cure for every disease on the planet. But it is effective not because it has been through many clinical trials or approved by FDA.  It is effectively beneficial for a multitude of individuals who have suffered for years with untreatable pain, inflammation, anxiety, and many other chronic conditions.

There have been many clinical trials completed, studies done and reviews made and all pointed to CBD as being effective. But the medical community will not officially say that it is acceptable under their watch because, as they say, more research is needed.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD is Intoxicating and Psychoactive

Psychoactive is defined in Oxford Languages as an element or drug that “affects the mind”. That is why we say the THC gives a “high”.  CBD does relax, calm and quiet the mind and body. But that is not psychoactive, and neither is it intoxicating. CBD also energizes productivity, depending on the strain you smoke or vape. THC is the only cannabinoid that is intoxicating and psychoactive.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD Requires a Prescription

CBD and all its products are considered “alternative medicine” or “over-the-counter”.  There is no requirement for a prescription except for the one drug made with CBD called Epidiolex.  Otherwise, CBD is widely available in chain stores, by independent distributors, or in dispensaries like Dr. Strains CBD.

All Those Myths About CBD Flower — CBD is More Effective in High Doses

Since CBD doses as high as 1,500 mg per day have been well-tolerated in clinical studies that does not mean you should take that much.  Research has also shown, however, that CBD remains effective at doses of 200 mg per day or less. The point is — experiment with doses to find out what is best for you.
