The Recipe for CBD Honey Sticks

The neat thing about CBD honey sticks is that you can infuse it with the CBD hemp flower strain you want. It is always good to use as high a CBD content as possible to overcome the potency lost in the digestive system. Here are some suggestions from Dr Strains CBD inventory:

Once you choose your hemp flower strain, then you need to decarboxylate it then grind it up. Here is a grinder that you might want to purchase for this process.

  • 3-10 grams CBD flower
  • 1 cup honey (if at all possible, purchase raw honey so that it is as unprocessed as possible.)
  • Double boiler
  • Cheesecloth/metal strainer (to pour the honey which has been infused with hemp flower)
  • Micro-tip funnel
  • Plastic straws
  • Heating device \’\’and pliers

Put water in the bottom of the double boiler over low heat.  Place 1 cup of raw honey in the top of the double boiler then add the decarbed hemp flower \’\’and stir it as it simmers for about 30 to 60 minutes. Remove it from heat. While the honey is still easy to pour, pour it through cheese cloth over the mouth of a jar of your choice. If you feel that you need further straining, you can pour it through a cheesecloth covered metal strainer.

When DIYing with CBD flower \’\’and you want that perfect honey stick, this is how you make you’re a straw into a closed ends honey stick. Melt one end of a straw shut using the tip of a woodburner tool, a hot nail, etc then pinch it with a pair of pliers. With the micro-tip funnel pour the honey from the jar through the funnel into the straw. When finished, close the top with the same method as you closed the bottom of the straw.
