Our environment is very important to Americans so that means it is vital to know about the best friend to the environment – hemp. Hemp has no waste whatsoever and that is one important way it stabilizes the environment.  And because it has the ability to clean up the soil and other parts of the environment. It is better to make paper out of because more hemp plants fit on an acre of land than trees do. It takes longer for trees to grow than hemp as well.

The Universe of Hemp Embraces the Environment – How Hemp Aids Sustainability

What is sustainability? The dictionary defines it this way, “the ability to be maintained at a certain level. It can also be defined as the “avoidance of the depletion of natural resources to maintain an ecological balance.”  The environmentalists think that the earth is in such bad shape that it will be gone in 12 years.  Their focus is on what we should not be doing rather on what we can do in addition to help heal the environment.

What vs The Other

It is not what we should be eliminating so much as what we should add. Growing hemp is better for the environment than solely depending on trees when take much longer to grow. Hemp nourishes the environment as it leaves nutrients in the soil when it grows. When the farmer plants acres in hemp, he or she is planting a crop that has absolutely no waste so consequently embraces the environment with sustainability.

Plant hemp to manufacture clothing because it lasts forever. That means that less will be in the landfills of trash.  Plant more hemp so that the building contractors can utility it or hempcrete, for insulation and many other building supplies are soon to come. Hempcrete is more durable and when used in building is a better insulator. Then of course, it is better for the environment.

The Universe of Hemp Embraces the Environment – What Ways Hemp is Better

The simple word here is that hemp is better in so many ways. Every part of the hemp plant from flowers to roots has an industrial application. Most of the health benefitting cannabinoids and terpenes are in the flower so that is harvested first.  Then the farmer goes through the field and collects everything that remains of the hemp plant, and it is converted to hemp biomass by drying it in a temperature regulated environment.

Insects love the hemp plants, and you might think this is a bad thing, but it is not a bad thing because these are weed-eating insects.  Hemp plants are naturally pest resistant. This means that pesticides are not necessary.  This is a good thing because most hemp farmers prioritize in growing hemp as organically as possible.  In fact, in the testing for hemp flowers, chemicals are measured.

How Else is Hemp Better

The hemp plant is thin and tall, so they grow more densely than cotton. This means that hemp is cheaper and there is more hemp product than there is cotton. A single acre of hemp produces up to 1500 pounds of fiber.  This fiber goes into the making of fabric for clothing; fiber for canvas and rope for sailors; biofuel and so many other products in the marketplace.

The hemp fabric is great for being lightweight and it acts as an antiseptic for wearing on skin that has wounds on it. Hemp fibers are stronger and more durable than cotton fibers. And they are saltwater resistant, so sailors love it.
