Bread has always been looked upon as a stable of our “daily food”. It may be saying a lot to make the commentary that you could live by hemp bread alone, however, as you will see, it is full of good things including protein. Now we are going to examine hemp bread and all the key nutrients in it.
“Live on Hemp Bread Alone” – The Making of Hemp Bread
Hemp bread can also be made from you own home made hempseed flour or you can purchase it at a health food store. The hemp seed flour is rich in healthy fats, magnesium, fiber, and protein. Hemp is also high in vitamin E and a multitude of other minerals. It is gluten-free and low carb.
- ½ C. hempseed flour
- ½ C. linseed meal
- 1 C. Almond meal
- 1 t Baking soda
- 1 t Salt
- 3 t lemon juice
- 2 T full spectrum CBD oil
Combine the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix. Whisk together the wet ingredients in another bowl. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until incorporated. Transfer mixture into a greased bread loaf tin and put in the oven for 40 minutes. After removing from the oven, let it cool for 15 minutes before removing from the bread tin. Preheat oven to 350 F
“Live on Hemp Bread Alone” — Hemp Seed Bread
- 2 C whole wheat flour
- 1 C white unbleached flour
- 1/2 C hemp seeds raw
- 5 t salt
- 2 t agave syrup
- 1 package of rapid rise yeast
- 1 1/2 C warm water.
Combine hemp seeds, flours, and salt in a large bowl. In a measuring cup combine yeast with warm water and agave. Let stand for 5 minutes. Make a well in the center of the flours bowl and pour in the yeast mixture. Stir until it starts to turn into a ball of dough then knead on floured surface till it is smooth.
Move the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until dough is smooth. Place dough ball in an oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth to rise in a warm place for about 2 hours. Deflate dough, shape into a loaf and let rise again 1 hour. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.

Maple Hemp Flour Muffins are for that morning when you do not have time to make breakfast but you can grab one of these muffins and have the nutrition your body needs to get your metabolism on the move. It yields 12 muffins so you can freeze them, so they are ready on that extra busy morning.
- 2 C whole wheat flour
- ¼ C of the decarbed hemp flower
- ¾ t salt
- 1 T baking powder
- ½ C maple syrup
- ½ C coconut oil, melted
- 1 egg
- ¾ C coconut milk, unsweetened
- ½ C hemp hearts
In a large bowl, whisk the coconut oil, maple syrup, sugar and eggs together well. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mix. Remember to add the hemp hearts last. Slowly stir until the batter is smooth.
“Live on Hemp Bread Alone — Paleo Hemp Bread
- 2 C almond flour
- 1/4 C cassva flour
- 1/4 C coconut flour
- 1/3 C hemp hearts
- 1 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/2 t sea salt
- 7 T butter, melted
- 4 eggs
- 2 T maple syrup
- 2 t apple cider vinegar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease loaf pan with your choice of oil.
In a large bowl, mix almond flour, cassava flour, coconut flour, ground hemp hearts, baking soda and sea salt then add melted butter to bowl and stir till crumbly. In a small bowl, mix eggs, maple syrup and apple cider vinegar. Add egg mixture to flour mixture and continue to mix gently with a spatula. Place in a prepared bread pan and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the loaf pan.
How to Store Paleo Hemp Bread
It is best to let the bread completely cool before placing it in a storage container. This will help keep condensation to a minimum. You will want to store this bread in an airtight container.
Store in the fridge for 4-5 days.
